Yes, no matter how big rivals Cena and Reigns are on WWE. Behind the camera, Roman Reigns has learned a crucial life lesson from the 16-time world champion. A few years back, shared his feelings about several topics during a podcast named WWE After the Bell. There he highlighted why John Cena was the one who changed the whole game for him, and not Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He also mentioned that he learned how consistency leads you to the path where you can show your value.

During the podcast he said, “In this day and age, your run has to be pretty significant, you know what I mean, to really make waves. John Cena changed that whole game for us. Umm… it was a lot different for Rock and Steve. You know… they did their thing and it seemed like it was kind of a transition into the next guys. But, they had man, you gotta be able to hold it down for a while and show that you can do this for quite some time because there’s no off-season. And the real way to show your value nowadays is consistency, and I think that’s in everything, though.”

Even though John Cena has had a great impact on Roman Reigns, but the cenation leader hasn’t got a chance yet to get a pinfall victory on the big dog in a singles match. Both superstars faced each other in WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view for the first time. It was a ladder match for the world heavyweight championship, where John Cena turned out to be victorious.

The most prominent match between these two superstars was their match at No Mercy pay-per-view in 2017.

Not only Roman Reigns but the 16-time world champion John Cena has turned out to be a motivation for other WWE superstars as well.
