Vintage Log Cabin in Southern Missouri

The Garden House is a beautiful log residence with five bedrooms that was skillfully rebuilt from the original 1800s logs of a house in southern Missouri. This magnificent log mansion has 5 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and a great room with soaring ceilings that looks out over The Garden and its winding stream. There are a total of nine beds available in the cabin, split between two king bedrooms, one queen bedroom, one bunk bedroom, and a twin bedroom.

The century-old log and stone homes were purchased, dismantled, and shipped to the Westover site from various locations around Missouri. Unique among Missouri resorts is this collection of private homes that evokes both the past and the present. The amenities at Westover Farms include a fully equipped kitchen with a full-sized oven, electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and granite countertops, as well as Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a wood-burning fireplace, towels and linens, eco-friendly soap and shampoo.

The Inn at Westover is an excellent choice for a motel for individuals or smaller fishing parties. On the upper level, you’ll find the building’s 4 king-bed rooms, 2 queen-bed rooms, and 1 bunk-bed room. A shared kitchen with a fridge, microwave, sink, toaster, and coffeemaker is available to all guests of the Inn. The Inn has no minimum night requirement, making it ideal for spontaneous trips.

Another hotel-like structure, the Branch at Westover is a bit cozier than the Inn. At the Branch, all of the posh rooms come with their own minifridge, microwave, and coffee maker. You can sip your morning coffee on one of the three porches or read an afternoon away on one of the porches. There are six total rooms in the Branch, three on each floor. There is no minimum number of nights that you must stay at the Branch. Here are a few suggestions for how to spend your time off.

Some of the best trout fishing in Missouri may be found in the spring-fed rivers that wind through almost 600 acres of Westover property. When it comes to fly fishing in Missouri, Westover Farms is often ranked among the top spots. Their expertly taught fly fishing lessons make even novice fly fishers feel comfortable trout fishing in any stream in the state of Missouri.

Bring your hiking boots or mountain bikes and explore the Westover property’s miles of picturesque paths that weave through the property’s rolling hills, expansive meadows, and stunning caverns. While enjoying some of the best riding and hiking in Missouri, you’ll come across babbling brooks and a wide variety of wildlife, such as minks and beavers and many of the state’s most popular birds. Further exploration can be had in the nearby Mark Twain National Forest, where the Berryman Trail can be found; additionally, the Ozark Trail is only a few minutes away from the Westover property.

Available for rent at West Over Farms.
