At the age of 65, a mother of 13 gave birth to quadruplets

Having a child is always an extraordinary event, but it is even more so when pregnancy defies all scientific rules and conventions. As we know, there is an age at which it is impossible for a woman to give birth, but the story we will tell you today will remind you that this is a rule, and as with any rule, there are exceptions to confirm it and avoid it as well.

A 65-year-old German woman, who already has 13 children from four different fathers, gave birth to quadruplets after undergoing an ᴀʀᴛɪꜰɪᴄɪᴀʟ ɪɴsᴇᴍɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ᴘʀᴏᴄᴇᴅᴜʀᴇ in Ukraine.

She became pregnant after undergoing several ᴀʀᴛɪꜰɪᴄɪᴀʟ ɪɴsᴇᴍɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴs in Ukraine. The three boys and a girl were therefore born prematurely at 26 weeks in a Berlin hospital but had “a good chance of survival,” according to the medical report from the hospital center.

The Berlin mother, Annegret Raunigk, is an Anglo-Russian teacher nearing retirement and who, in addition to being a mother of 13 children, is a grandmother of seven grandsons and granddaughters! RTL declared that these new births made this woman the oldest mother of quadruplets in the world!

Raunigk made headlines in April 2015 when the German press first reported that her last attempt at ᴀʀᴛɪꜰɪᴄɪᴀʟ ɪɴsᴇᴍɪɴᴀᴛɪᴏɴ had resulted in a quadruple pregnancy. At the time, she said she decided to have another child because her youngest daughter, who was then nine, wanted a little brother or sister, according to RTL.

The “Tabloid Bil Dam Sonntag” quoted Raunigk, whose eldest daughter is 44, as saying it was “a sʜᴏᴄᴋ” when doctors first told her she had a quadruple pregnancy.

“After the doctor found out there were four, I had to think about it first.”

But she did not consider reducing the number of ᴇᴍʙʀʏᴏs and said she had no ʀᴇsᴇʀᴠᴀᴛɪᴏɴs about the challenge she faced.

“I’m not really scared; I just guess I’ll stay healthy and fit. In terms of organization, I have enough experience; it is not at all new to me,” she told “Bild.”

Reporters had also asked Raunigk how she thought you should be at 65. She simply responded by saying, “How does it have to be at 65? People apparently always need to find cliches about it, and I find that rather tiring. So I think it’s something you decide for yourself.”

She also adds that at the beginning, she just wanted to have a child and that she had absolutely nothing planned. It should also be remembered that Annegret had already made headlines in the German press ten years ago when she gave birth to her thirteenth child, Lelia, at the age of 55.

A story that is undoubtedly incredible but that is also very pleasing and could even give hope to some people who have not yet had the opportunity to have children. Because truth be told, rules and generalities are one thing, while what nature actually does in many cases is a whole other story!
