“I couldn’t sit, I could only lie down or stand up”: Gal Gadot Had to Do All Her Media Standing Up For DCU’s Wonder Woman After Serious Back Injury

Gal Gadot has shown the world how amazing of an actress she is with the power that Wonder Woman had. The movie was one of the most liked projects of the DC Universe. However, the downfall of the franchise took place with the second movie. Although she has since parted ways with the character as well as the franchise, a lot happened during the filming and press tours of both movies.

“So the whole six weeks of the press that we did, I couldn’t sit,” Gadot revealed. “I could only lie down or stand up. So if you go back now, when you see all of my interviews I’m always standing.”

She had to do the entire press tour for the movie with excruciating pain in her back that did not let her sit, lie down or even stand up. She further focused on how she had to give all the interviews standing up. More so, she could not even attend the premiere of her movie because she was having surgery for a hernia. So while she was in an OR, everyone was enjoying her blockbuster. She did the entire tour without letting the world know even a bit about how much pain she was going through.

It came as a shock to the entire world when James Gunn announced that Wonder Woman 3 is officially canceled. The actress went through a lot when she was filming and during the press tours, getting injuries and enduring pain which restricted her every movement. The actress truly lived up to who she plays in the franchise.

Gal Gadot Had Injuries During Wonder Woman 1984 As Well

Gal Gadot is one of the many actors who could not escape the enduring adventure their roles brought. She elaborated on how intense it was to play the titular character because of how often she had to physically push herself.

“And then this one, on this one, I hurt my neck and my shoulder,” Gadot said. “It just—it comes with a—it is what it is. It’s such a physical role, like the physicality is another character that I have to play. But it has its toll.”

The role took a lot out of her and even ended up giving her injuries on her shoulder and her neck during the filming of Wonder Woman 1984.
