Neymar has made an important decision about his future and knows where he will retire

Neymar Jr. is not going through the best of times in his professional soccer career.

Having been ruled out until the end of the season through injury, the Brazilian has had to watch from home as his Paris Saint-Germain side were knocked out of both the French Cup and the Champions League.

The former Barcelona star, who underwent successful surgery on his right ankle in Qatar last week, has also had to endure constant rumors surrounding his future and PSG‘s possible intent to sell him in the next transfer window.

The problem for PSG is that it seems almost impossible that any other club will be able to meet Neymar’s wage demands, which are thought to be exceedingly high.

The Brazilian striker’s high salary, in addition to his age, make any sale almost impossible.

Irrespective of what the French champions want to do with their record signing, it is clear that Neymar has made his mind up on where he wants to finish his playing career.

Everything seems to indicate that Neymar will remain in the French capital for the next few years. The Brazilian has no intention of leaving, at least until 30 June 2027, when his contract expires.

“Neymar’s desire is to end his playing days with PSG and help them achieve more success, particularly in the one tournament they have yet to win,” The Athletic reported on Wednesday.

That “one trophy they have yet to win” is none other than the Champions League, a tournament that has eluded Neymar since he arrived in Paris in the summer of 2017 from Barcelona. In 2020, he came close to winning it, but lost in the final to Bayern Munich.
